I had a chance to visit Incheon Airport in Korea, one of the most advanced and attractive airports in
the world, recently during my business trip. The first impression I got when I stepped in there was
very clean and well-organized layouts. All the facilities and stores around were eaily noticed and
the signages were right positioned to guide the mass number of people in the building.
Later I looked at the Skytrax airline business-related site and found out that Incheon Airport is
one of the most preferred airports and many airport commissions in the States and Europe are
trying to benchmark its construction and services to improve their own.
In addition to the outstanding structures in hardware standpoints, they also give excellent cultural
events regularly inside of the airport at free of charge to visitors. When I was there, they showed
some kind of Chinese acrobat performance on the open stage centered 1st floor of the buidling. Many
people were enjoying the show with big applause and it seems they never got bored waiting for their
flights or someone arriving. The event schedule let me know that almost every week they are having
a couple of such good events, not just one time in a certain period of time.
I really enjoyed the show and had a pleasant experience I ever had from other airports. I recommend
to travel via Korea if you have any chance to visit Asia and you can feel the dynamics and energy of
unique living style of Koreans. The best time to visit Korea is April and October.
